Israeli warplanes had struck the southern suburbs of Beirut earlier in the day, hitting what the Israeli military described as Hezbollah weapons storage. Iran&amp;rsquo;s response came within hours. By Monday morning, both sides had stopped.&lt;/p>
&lt;p>Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel was halting its strikes. An Iranian official communicated through the Trump administration that Tehran wanted the same.
